Artist Bio

Dina Potter is a contemporary abstract artist. She received her degree in Interior Design from The Art Institute of Seattle, establishing a successful commercial and residential interior design practice upon graduation. Dina’s artistic inclinations since childhood drove her to pursue an education and career in the arts and she has continued to seek out her artistic passions in design, creation and painting. Her art has been showcased in numerous exhibits, art walks and galleries and placed in commercial and residential permanent installations.

She was a featured artist selected by a juried panel to exhibit at the Lynnwood Convention Center though the City of Lynnwood Arts Commission, a program supported in part by a grant from the Washington State Arts Commission and The National Endowment For The Arts. Dina’s art was recently acquired by Bastyr University, the internationally renowned naturopathic educational facility, with five original pieces on permanent installation in their corporate boardroom. Sundance Cinema Seattle (now AMC) has exhibited eight of Dina's larger works for a long term installation in the theatre mezzanine adjacent to their spacious fireplace lounge. The artist has donated her art to charitable organizations including the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Youthcare. Favorite pastimes include volunteering as an art docent instructor to elementary level students, spending time with her family, trail running and gardening.

"Inspiration for my art comes from music, sounds, nature and the visuals of everyday life. I seek to create the illusion of depth, bold movement, rhythmic flowing pattern, exaggerating and abstracting those images and making them my own in each art creation. I enjoy the discussion that each piece evokes and generating an emotional response from people who view my art. Continuing to create new works and sharing my art with collectors is a true joy.”
